BMW Walks Away With 3 Podium Finishes AT BMW Performance 200

BMW started this year's GRAND-AM season with the BMW Performance 200 race at Daytona International Speedway, in Florida. BMW entered sixteen BMW models into the event and walked away with three podium finishes in two categories: 2nd and 3rd place in the Grand Sport class and 3rd place in the Street Tuner class. Not a bad way to start off a new track year, if you ask us.
How did BMW Performance 200 go for the sponsor? Very well.
Driving the winning BMW models were Charles Putman and Charles Espenlaub (M3, 2nd in Grand Sport), Bryan Sellers and Mark Boden (M3, 3rd in Grand Sport) and Gregory Lifeooghe and David A. Levine (328i, 3rd in Grand Sport).
BMW was not only honored but extremely excited to sponsor the 2012 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge's green-flag event. Craig Westbrook, VP Aftersales, BMW of North America comments, "as leaders in the performance parts and accessories market, there is no better place to showcase our passion than on the racetrack," 1.
