There are many benefits of buying a BMW vehicle, including getting to experience the height of automotive luxury. Another big advantage that is often overlooked is that these models come with extensive warranties that provide excellent coverage. However, are tires covered under BMW warranty? This guide from BMW of Northwest Arkansas goes over what you need to know.

BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty

Any new BMW model you buy will come with a New Vehicle Limited warranty. This protects against defects in materials or workmanship for a variety of parts and systems, including:

  • Engine
  • Transmission
  • Steering
  • Suspension
  • Electrical
  • HVAC

In addition, you don’t have to purchase a new model to get this coverage, as BMW Certified comes with the remainder of the New Vehicle Limited warranty. If it is no longer applicable or once it expires, it will be extended for an additional year with no mileage restriction.

Components Not Covered by the Warranty

While the BMW warranty covers a lot, it is important to understand that it doesn’t cover everything. Parts subjected to a lot of wear and tear are excluded, and this consists of things like brake pads, filters, light bulbs, and windshield wipers. Your tires will also fall into this category.

The good news is that if there is an issue with your tires that isn’t related to regular wear and tear, it could be covered by the warranty of the specific tire manufacturer.
