If you’re in the market for a pre-owned luxury sedan, both BMW and Lexus are popular brand choices. Their models, however, don’t offer the same amenities. Here BMW of Northwest Arkansas looks at the BMW 3 series vs Lexus IS 2023 models so you can see exactly how they compare to one another.

Power and Acceleration

For a smaller car, the 2023 BMW 3 Series packs a real punch. It has a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. It is also quite quick and can get you from zero to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds.

The 2023 Lexus IS has a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine as well, but it offers just 241 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Plus, it takes 6.9 seconds to get up to 60 mph.

Fuel Economy

Another highlight of the BMW 3 Series is its fuel efficiency. It gets an EPA-estimated 25 MPG in the city and 34 MPG in the highway, which are great numbers for the class. With the Lexus IS, you only get 21 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway.

Technology Features

Inside the 2023 BMW 3 Series you will find a wealth of technology. The infotainment system is easy to use and operated with a huge 14.9-inch touchscreen, along with voice commands and physical controls. It also comes with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®, in-dash navigation, satellite radio, and a 10-speaker stereo.

The infotainment system in the 2023 Lexus IS isn’t nearly as user-friendly, and its touchscreen is only eight inches. Plus, both voice commands and navigation require an upgrade.
